Earlier today all of us here at Bossvg were hanging out talking about our plans for the future when George made us watch an awesome short film that had gone online today.
The clip was a graphic re imagining of the Mortal Kombat series. It showed Reptile as a flesh eating mutant and a really cool fight scene between Baraka and Jhonny cage. If you haven't, you have to check it out because this shit has potential.
But no one on the Internets knew what exactly it was for. Speculations were that it was either for a new video game or a new film. Which is pretty obvious. But the actress who played Sonya Blade in the trailer came out and told us what was up.
"Okay, so... Mortal Kombat. It's not a game trailer. Actually was made for the director to sell WB on his vision for a reimagined MK film. [...] I did it as a favor to a friend. No idea yet what WB's reaction to it was. And I'm not sure how you can contact WB to push them to make it. But you guys are resourceful...! ;-)"
Fuck hopefully someone at WB knows how tight this movie would be if done right, fingers crossed!!!
