Rant: Motion Controllers.

If you would have told me ten years ago that consoles in the future would have motion controls, I would have gone crazy. But when it came to it, motion controllers did nothing but disappoint. Which is why I am curious why Sony is so dead set on going down that route. They do nothing to better the games on their system because they don't make the games control better, in fact they make them feel cumbersome and much harder to control.

Nintendo made us think that with motion control the possibilities were endless and that it was much more innovative than a standard controller, but the fact is that a motion controller is just as constricting as simply pressing A and B. With the current generation of motion controllers all you can do is make awkward slashing movements or shake the controller like a retard, doing little to immerse yourself in the game.

I really have no idea what Sony is thinking. My idea is that they made it for a sequel to Heavy Rain where you place the controller by your crotch and shake it for the masturbation quick time event.

I cant wait to see what motion controllers evolve into, but Sony's motion controller is not going to revolutionize motion controllers because its just a Wiimote for the PS3, period.
