Well about fucking time. Over at the Bad Company 2 forums, DICE has released the notes for a patch that will go live shortly. There are a couple single-player fixes listed, including the sound problems I was having. But most of it is multi-player related and has to do with their horrible server browser.
Even though the game hasn't even been out that long, it's really to bad this didn't happen sooner. Tons of games are coming out now, and BC2 is going to have to be put on hold. I'm playing God of War III right now and I still have to play Metro 2033, the Dragon Age expansion, and Final Fantasy XII.
By the way, God of War III is amazing.
They are also removing the SecuROM DRM from Steam for this game.
