Brink release date still up in the air.

Recently GameStop began a Brink contest with the date 9/7/2010 slapped on the bottom.

But Bethesda says that the Splash Damage first-person shooter still does not have a firm release window and stand by their announced Fall 2010 launch window.

"Often times retailers will assign a release date for a game that falls within the game’s announced launch window," a Bethesda representative explained to us today. "While we have announced that Brink is due out in Fall 2010, we have yet to announce an official release date for the game. Until we have announced the release date, all other dates can be considered speculative."

Its very possible that the September 7th release date is genuine since it easily fits in the Fall 2010 launch window, and if it doesn't its going to be damn close to it. Have played a ton of Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, I'm super psyched for this game. Maybe they should just release it this month as a special surprise for me!!
