This week is The Gamescom conference in Cologne, Germany. It's yet another game-related conference in which developers get together and demo their products, as well as make announcements about games.
So far there have been a few new trailers that have come out for games like Halo: Reach's live action trailer, and more Dead Space 2 gameplay. One of the biggest announcements, however, may be coming from EA/Bioware.
It seems that Mass Effect 2 is going to be coming to the PS3 in 2011. What's kind of odd about this is the fact that some people datamined the game back when it was first released, and found the code for the PS3 version of the game. If that's the case, why release it next year instead of something like the end of this year? Also, although Mass Effect 1 wasn't the best game, for story purposes I hope it gets a port as well, considering the ability to carry your story from ME 1 -> 2 was a central feature in the game.
I've also heard rumors that L4D will be coming to the PS3, but it's unconfirmed at this time.
I just hope we hear something Half-Life related ><
