No, no release date yet on the game, sadly. But more details from the company that I'm beginning to put on my "top 5" list.
So a while back they talked about how over 1000 different decisions influenced how the game played out in ME2. Well take that number, and then apply that to how many different story variations will accessed by people who have played the last two games and carried over their save data to the 3rd one. In an interview with PC Zone magazine, Bioware's Casey Hudson had this to say, "Numerically, it's over 1,000 variables that wi'll have access to for shaping the Mass Effect 3 experience for people who've played the previous games."
He also says that they plan the larger details, but it's the nitty gritty details that are the hard part. Destructoid mentions that they record what a player has done in a playthrough, and then they have the writers build things around those individual plot threads.
I'm more excited about this game just hearing about these little details. Hopefully we'll get the game early 2012.
